With the regs we have in Ohio whats the biggest you run for coyote traps? Ive been pleased with what ive seen from my Sleepy Creek 1.75 offsets and their offset #3 double longs. Ive tried MB550s but the inside jaw spread was even less than my 1.75s. Id like to try something in the #2 or #3 coilspring range.

I was thinking id like to try the BMI k9 wolfer. The way those bases look though make wonder how they'd hold up to big yotes.

I always used a # 2 coil, I even put and extra set of coils on one set in case regular # 2 wouldn't do the job, but they always did. I think if I remember correctly a # 3 is two large, unless there are several different sizes of # 3s out there. I don't have the regs handy, but think 5 5/8" is the max opening and the # 3 I had were about 6".

The biggest I run is the MB650 IL. Mostly run #2 bridgers or #3 montanas

Does anybody know if the Victor #3 FOJ jaws are thick enough to be useable on land in Ohio?

They'd need to be laminated to be legal. Jaws must have a foot contact surface of 5/16 inches if they are over 5 3/8 inside spread.

Sniper thanks. Your Montana #3s... Which version, and do you mod them?

Montgomery #2s look pretty slick too. Like the pan takes up a lot of real estate inside the jaws.
