Go figure! Just another reason to deport every last one of them back to the holes they came from. Report: Pensacola Shooting Perpetrated by Middle Eastern Foreign NationalThe gunman who opened fire at Naval Air Station Pensacola, killing three, is reportedly a foreign national from a Middle Eastern country. The gunman opened fire Friday morning, killing three innocents and causing numerous others to be transported to the hospital for injuries. The Associated Press reports that the Pensacola gunman was an aviation student from Saudi Arabia. NBC News reports that the gunman’s name was Mohammed Saeed Alshamrani. NBC 6 South Florida tweeted a photo reportedly showing Pensacola gunman Mohammed Saeed Alsharmrani. On December 6, 2019, Breitbart News reported that Naval Air Station Pensacola is a gun-free zone. The station’s firearm policy, as described by Commander, Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, notes: While federal and state laws differ widely on the subject, regulations pertaining to the registration, transportation, and storage of firearms on Naval Installations in the Mid-Atlantic area of responsibility are clear. According to the instruction, all hands share responsibility for adhering to regulations pertaining to the registration, transportation, and storage of firearms in the AOR. The policy also points out that “state issued ‘concealed weapons permits’ are not recognized on any Navy installation.” The firearm policy allows guns to be brought on base after obtaining approval from a commanding officer but notes that such firearms “may only be stored in the installation’s armory.” Moreover, during transport onto the installation, all firearms are to be “unloaded and secured with a trigger lock and ammunition must be carried in the farthest most possible location away from the firearm.” Source: https://www.breitbart.com/politics/...ated-by-middle-eastern-foreign-national/

Hard to believe regulations would necessitate that the Sheriff's Department needs to protect a military installation.
Who makes this crap up?

We are lucky that he did not wait until after his in aircraft pilots training began. It should no longer be permitted for foreign nationals to come here and learn to fly military aircraft over American soil. There's to much risk.

He is or was a Saudi Air Force member over here to be trained on military hardware and software that we sell to the Saudis.
Bryce Yup !! The same people who brought us 9/11... and yet our government and the defense industry bows down to them. For the life of me I would love to know why that is.

It is because of the agreement they have with the USA. Saudis agreed to accept only US dollars for oil from anyone-thus the US dollar is based on petroleum-the petrodollar. In return for the Saudis doing this, the USA agreed to protect them and their oil fields militarily. This is what allows the USA to sanction countries because they cant get US dollars when sanctioned thus they cannot buy oil on the world market. Basically the Saudis hold the Trump card. This is why everyone wants to develop alternative energy sources so we are not under the thumb of the saudis and the petrodollar. The shift away from petroleum energy ramped up after 911.Its political-not environmental. The environmental scare tactic is to push the political agenda. The saudis are not friends of the usa-most of the saudi population despises americans and vice versa.

Indeed... kind of reminds me of that film Dune.... the spice... he who controls the spice controls the universe.
The thing is - I thought - mistaking perhaps ?? - I thought that we produce a ton of oil right here in the States, especially in Alaska. Is it all being exported - or maybe a grade we can't use ??
I will admit I am very ignorant on how this all works.

The Saudis are the big dogs and control the oil market. They can ruin economys by flooding or drying up the supply. All currencies are tied to oil.And all oil is bought and sold in US dollars(the petrodollar) currently.

USA has about 3% of the worlds oil reserves,Canada 10%,Saudies 15% of the worlds oil reserves. BUT-the reason the saudis are the big dog is because their production costs are way cheaper than anyone else and they can make money in any price environment, The reason their production costs are so low is that the oil is in huge pools relatively close to the surface and adjacent to the sea. Canada has lots of oil but it is expensive to extract,so the saudis could flood the market with cheap oil and still make lots of money and put Canada right out of buisness. Low oil prices are good for Saudi arabia,it kills the competition.
