I sent a lot of beaver to the tannery last season, sold most, but still had a few left. I bought a Subaru Forester this summer for my primary hunting and trapping vehicle. Unfortunately it has white upholstery, which isn’t too good of a fit with me. I had a few hides that I caught in late winter that had some guard hair damage, so I figured they would make great seat covers. They fastened up easily and feel great beaver fur should wear well.

Looks awesome! How slippery is it? Seems like you might slide around on the seat a bit more than on regular upholstery, but probably comparable to leather.

My mind always goes back to the old trucker song when some one says beaver seat cover :-)

That might get bit warm come summer but sure looks like it be comfy now.. I've had the back half of my bear hide over the bent wood rocker I sit in since I believe 2002?? Little worn in places but then it is my every day chair so pretty high mileage on it. Can feel little prickly sometimes if don't have shirt on. Every once in a while the dogs want rub up against it..
