At the time he made the offer he probably believed in the offer, then things changed or sponsors faded away maybe making it unreal.

Really upstate. What is it? Flaming is posting or sending offensive messages online to make the receiver angry. Frequently flaming goes both ways and is just the trading of insults back and forth between 2 or more people on a forum. Keith

Sorry about your experience... I wrote, I think on here, about an experience I had over the internet. The company said they couldn't help me so it teed me off and I contacted the Federal Communication Commission through their online site. I filed a complaint through an online form and then later talked with someone on the phone. The moral of the story is they stepped in and went after the company and gave them 30 days to get things straightened with me and take care of my problem.
Two weeks later the problem was handled by a contact from one of the companies managers. The company then had to reply back to the FCC by the end of the 30 days. I received a copy of letter from company to FCC and then, I received an email from FCC asking me if I was satisfied with cooperation I got from the company and I replied yes. This is when I called the FCC to personally thank them. The said that is what they are there for. Any dealing or purchases, or fraud against you by mail, or email or internet falls under their jurisdiction.
S, I think in your case, I would contact the FCC and tell them you story, and you can also submit other evidence like emails, purchase receipts, or anything else pertinent to your case. Just google FederalTradeCommission.gov They also told me they when Someone makes a purchase or is paying for a service, originated, by internet or mail, they forward a copy of the complaint to the Federal Trade Commission.
I doesn't cost anything, except a little time and you may end up getting at some of your $200 back. That is what we pay their salaries for... and they seem to be one Federal agency that will cooperate with the general public.
Garry- I would do what this post say, Since the BBB already know about them.

NORTH AMERICAN HUNTING CLUB! Got lots of life memberships. Mine included. magazine once a month and get to "field test" items. The field test stuff was at best worth $5 - and that's a stretch. Then a few years ago - no magazine. Got bought out by some bunch. I learned my lesson. No more life memberships. No more pay to be part of a group. I will stay with the T -Man crew. Good ol boys who tell you what they think and the way it is. Just good down home folks who care about what matters. Just my humble opinion. Remember, no body cares more about your money than you do!!
I was a life member too. I did get some ok field tests, but yes they paired with scout then some knuckleheads bought it and now they only cater to the rich trophy hunters.

I have just the opposite problem (if you want to call it that). Years ago I bought a life membership with the Minnesota Trappers Assn for $200, which it cost at that time. Since then the life membership has gone up considerably. I feel guilty because I keep getting the magazines and only paid $200. It doesn't seem fair to those who are buying a life membership at today's cost.

BOHICA !!!
Dan Fitzgerald is trash.
He approached me at the Harrisburg, PA. Eastern Sport Show about 20 years ago
and booked a three day trophy walleye fishing trip on Lake Ontario with lodging.
I asked him for a deposit to secure his dates and he put me off by saying
he would pay in cash upon arrival and do a video tape documentary of the whole trip.
Spoke with him three day prior to the dates and he was excited about coming.
Long story short--He never showed, never answered the phone when I called,
and I never got an explanation for his no show.
Saw him walking by my booth in a crowd a couple years later, and yelled his name.
When he saw me coming after him, he took off, and ran like the thief he was !!
