Going to put some of these to the test this winter, the 440's have a 12 inch opening as compared to the 10 on a 330 and with a bottom placed trigger I think they will be deadly. We can also have an 8 inch opening out of the water( if round) so the 280 will work on dry land for coon and otter and look at larger stronger springs compared with a 220. The 280 also fits nicely in a piece of plastic field tile. They are both very strong and close all the way like a Belisle. The first pic is a 330 and 440 and the second is a 220 and 280. The company is in Indiana too which I think is cool.

Love em. I had better luck using them In trail sets then I did the square jawed BGs. Just a lot more natural looking.
Never used the big ones but the 160 and the 220 sized worked great.
The other nice thing about them Is you more options for trigger placement. And they fit den holes perfectly.

But they are a pain when It comes to chasing those springs around. LOL
And you can use H stands with them but they will close down the opening a bit.

Never used them but it seems there is zero clamping force in that design.

Seems like there could be more because the springs can open farther creating even more pressure. Not sure though, I can see your point if there is nothing in the trap.

I thought I was going to open this thread and find a picture of Ruth Bader Ginsburg in rubber hip boots standing in a creek making a pocket set.

I bought some a few years ago for squirrels. Best body gripper for them I own. as far as pressure, it is no problem, they are very strong and hold very well. They are more difficult to set until you get the hang of though. If I used a lot of body grippers I would most likely use them over any others.

I’ve been happy with the RBG 280’s. They are impressively lethal.

I picked up a few of the 110 size a few years ago. They work well on rats, mink. You just have to watch as the springs like to swing around and get your knuckles when they're not set.

I used a dozen 440’s last year alongside 330 Belisles. They definitely are great in channels and den enterances. Only down fall like Beav said....chasing the dang springs around.
