Love em. I had better luck using them In trail sets then I did the square jawed BGs. Just a lot more natural looking. Never used the big ones but the 160 and the 220 sized worked great. The other nice thing about them Is you more options for trigger placement. And they fit den holes perfectly.
But they are a pain when It comes to chasing those springs around. LOL And you can use H stands with them but they will close down the opening a bit.

Never used them but it seems there is zero clamping force in that design. I double dog dare you to put your hand in a bigger one!

Seems like there could be more because the springs can open farther creating even more pressure. Not sure though, I can see your point if there is nothing in the trap.

I picked up a few of the 110 size a few years ago. They work well on rats, mink. You just have to watch as the springs like to swing around and get your knuckles when they're not set.
