Sorry, I have to rant!

Long story short:. Guy approaches me for employment because he has recently fired at "no fault". But tells !e he can't work for 3 two weeks because his wife is having a baby. I said ok and he ended up riding along with me for one day before wife went into labor. Two weeks turned into 3 weeks and I was ok with it. Then he rides along with me for a week. In that week I gave him my boots, 5 pairs of socks, and way more money than we had agreed upon because I felt sorry for him. Meanwhile !y wife is reading Facebook post from his wife about steak dinners city paying his house bill, etc... 1st day on the solo yesterday his kid went into seizures and he had to leave early. Come to go d pit kid was running 104 deg temp! He missed the next day. Today he tells me via text he will only be working till 11am because he has a Christmas dinner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Years ago, woman in slippers, pajamas, and curlers came to my office looking for a job. I told her that we weren't hiring. She had a paper she wanted me to sign so she could prove to the unemployment office that she was actually trying to find a job. I refused to sign and she left furious.

A few days later, I got a call from the unemployment office. Lady on the phone is a little rude to me and tells me that it's their "policy" to have employers sign if someone shows up looking for a job.

First, I explain that her having a policy doesn't obligate me to do anything. Second, I explain that this woman showed up in pajamas because she was trying to make sure that nobody offered her a job and was therefore not actually looking for one. I'm sure she got her check anyway.

The nation is at long time unemployment lows.

Most everyone that wants a job has one.


What's left in the labor pool is pretty slim pickens.

Who wants to work 40+ hours a week? Kind of a waste of time eh. I don’t blame them for not falling for that system.

In Newfoundland, Canada, folks only need to work 9 weeks a year and can get unemployment the remainder of the year. The island is pretty much a welfare state.

He just needs you for spending money and will only show up when its convienent for him .

Of all things, if I gave some bum the literal clothes of my back (or socks off my feet), and then that bum continued in their bum ways, I'd be furious. Cut off all contact, the only way buns will change their ways is when they have no other choice.

Work harder millions on welfare depand on you, i got 8 cousins and over half of them are on welfare. So i know where my tax dollars go lol. Most of them have no desire to even get a job, so welfare system must be good to them.
