Ive got a browning medallion that likes 50gr nosler ballistic tips. Scary accurate when shooting the starting load of 4320. Group opens up a little when loading through to max and right at max closes back to almost as tight as the starting load. I've also loaded 50gr Barnes TSX bullets with awesome results on deer and pigs.

I have a Rem 788 in .222 but my 22-250 is a browning B-78. It will put 5 Sierra 55 gr HPs in 1/2 inch at 100 yds if you let it cool between shots. The 55 gr vmax tumbles because the extra length from the plastic tip isn't stabilized by the Brownings twist rate. That was a head scratcher for me until someone on here clued me in (cmcf I think). I love those highwall action rifles I have a browning Rocky Mountain elk foundation commutative in 45/70 almost to pretty to shoot but it also shoots to good not to I would love to have one in either 223/ 22 250 or 220 swift as well I do have a Winchester low wall in 22 mag that shoots amazingly well If I could figure out how to post pictures I would

I had a Steyr in the past in that caliber but had to sell it. Now I am good with a 223 shooting 55 grain Nosler Varmagedon over a healthy dose of CFE223

Shot 22-250 a lot in the 80’s. Lot of dead ground hogs.

I checked on Gun Broker and there are several ( 788 Remingtons) on their right now. One even looks like it still has the universal scope they came with back in the mid 70s. I might just have to get in on bidding on a 788 in a 223.... just to have one !!
