I know some preference for ammo exists. Saw add for Armscor .22 LR 36 grain HP, 2 / 500 round bricks for $30.00 I have fired 1 brick so far from a sale a month ago, at the range with grandsons. We used Ruger SR/22, 10/22s Mod 64 savages and 1 Marlin Mod 60, only had a couple duds in the Marlin that fired in the SR 22 I have enough .22 ammo for my needs, to not worry or pay too much ever again. just a FYI folks.

If you and grandsons are CAN killers, any ammo will do.
If you join in a 50 yard aspirin shoot...not so much.
Have fun with those grandsons!

All those that have Rim Fire failures, did you try rotating the brass and trying it again? I have and have had very few 2nd try's fail again. Some times a good chamber/bolt face cleaning will fix the problem too.

Have fun with those grandsons! squacks if I remember right your the feller that had the squirrel skinning video, if so that is the method and the video I used to teach them not so young anymore hunters! They are both chasing girls and starting to drive. But so far Grandpa is still fun to hang with...I have fun toys and interests. lol

I shoot a lot of the Rem 22 LR in my S&W revolver and Auto. No real problem. Real dirty. Shooting at short distance 21 feet. Had more problem with the CCI for the number of rounds shot. JMO

It seems a lot of the newer .22 auto pistols require the higher pressure ammo like the mini mags today.

Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!
