That may be the case. But I doubt he spends that much time colleting bladder urine. I know for sure he starts out with gallons of urine. I have an idea where he gets It but I'm not sure . I will ask tomorrow.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Update on gear.
All his coyote traps are offset. He wants the mechanical advantage that off sets give him. And he does trap In states that require offsets.
What is the mechanical advantage? Other than the levers maybe coming up an extra 1/4", I don't see how there is a mechanical advantage.

I believe that is the mechanical advantage he is speaking of. 1/4" higher is a good bit really. To some the levers setting higher on a catch is exactly what they want.

1/4" or 3/8s" can make a difference in lock up. I guess I'll take the word from the guy who Is catching the coyotes. I'll ask today about the lamination thing and the urine supplier.
Muskrat Is the go to bait. In fact he buys rat carcasses so I would say that Is his go to bait. I was also told he uses a lot of home made fish juice. A quart or so of fish juice dumped on a rock pile will get you some coyotes. ND style him told.
