Anybody ever have Vertigo? I’ve been dealing with it for about two weeks now. Went to the drs on Thursday they gave me some exercises to do which seem to be helping. In case nobody knows what the is it’s when the room you’re in starts spinning around due to an inner ear disease. Apparently there are bones in your ears that are hollow that get a “stone” in there that floats around and causes an imbalance even when walking. It was pretty scary not knowing what was going on at first. Plus they gave me some meds for dizziness that even causes dizziness. Go figure

Sorry for your luck. Have dealt with that a few times. Not fun. The meds they gave me made me sick to my stomach.

Yes - Real Bad in 2007, but what I had might have also been due to a combination of severe heat stress and dehydration as this occurred on a very hot day where I had to do a lot of climbing up a big test stand at work [97 steps to the top].
It was terrible, but I had I seem to think 2x prior where I had very brief encounters with vertigo, and I seem to think that was stress related.
All this happened within a couple of weeks.
Once I got it for real - with no warning at all - I was down for the count and sweated out all my fluids, extreme nausia, it was the worst.....
Took over 3 hours - might have been closer to 5 - just to get an IV going my veins collapsed so bad.
Because I was still a member of the all volunteer Fire Dept, everyone came with the ambulance, my Captain said he never seen anything like it in his entire life as my eyes were ping ponging back and forth left to right, but if I kept my eyes closed I felt fine. If I opened them, I was out of control.
Got discharged from the ER maybe 7 hours later, saw and Ear Nose and Throat specialist who felt I might have had an inner ear infection, but could not say with absolute certainty. All I know is I was out of work for 2 or 3 weeks, and I walked like a drunk for a few months afterwards...
Medication was high octaine version of Dramamine, I think it began with the letter M.
For a few years, I had to keep sea sick pills on me at all times, as I would on occasion get flare ups, but thank God none in a long long time.
I spoke with another officer from the Fire Dept, I remarked how the only time I felt normal was when I was back in my kayak and he replied: oh, I know what you got - it's Minere's disease, because his father has it - and the only time things aren't wobbly is when he is on the Port Jefferson Ferry.
Vertigo/Minere's is no joke. [I might be spelling that wrong....]
I pray you can get through this ok.
On a side note, I've been having occasional anxiety and am now being treated with acupuncture for lower back problems,
My doctor after doing some serious probing in my mid spine stopped and asked me: Do you ever get angry, are you ever mad - to which I laughed out loud because it seems I am always angry about something.
So - with me - ALL my health ailments I have brought about myself - due to stress.
Regarding my lower back, I was doing great after 2 visits - then I got really (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) off about my low life neighbors trashing the neighborhood with all their litter and BOOM lower back pain pinched nerves all back with a vengence.
So, what you are experiencing might also be stress related, like my vertigo [among other things] was/is...
Again, I pray to God you get through this - Vertigo is the worst.
At least with my back pain, I can still function.

Had it bad a few years back. Went to the Dr’s and they did a bunch of tests but couldn’t tell me what caused it. Did the exercises for the inner ear thing , didn’t help. After about 4 weeks dealing with it, went to the chiropractor a couple of times and it went away. I finally concluded that the cause was a trauma to my head at work about a week before I started to have symptoms. Now every time I have sinus issues it returns for a short while , a day or two, but much less severe. I’ve read that once you have it bad, reacquiring bouts will be less severe. Good luck and I hope you get over it fast, it really sucks.
Yes what Big George states, it can be stress related. At the same time I banged my head, I was dealing with placing my elderly mother in a nursing home and I was stressed to the max.

I've had it for several years now and was diagnosed with Meniere's disease. Salt is my worst enemy and I try to limit daily intake between 1,000 and 1,500 mg. When I have episodes, I take Diazepam (valium) which is the only thing that helps. Nothing with any of the OTC or prescription motion sickness meds has worked for me. I also go to an ENT every six months and get my ears cleaned out.
Good luck as I can appreciate what you are going through and everyone's body and system is different.

Yes, had an ear drum ruptured from a loud noise (.223 shot 2' in front of my left ear while facing it). Nothing good has become of it. Doctors said "equal liberal balance may come back". The "may" part never happened as of yet and it's been years. Friend of mine had the same symptoms you speak of. The doctor sent him to a rehab facility and the rehab put him on a board and spun him head over heals back wards, or forwards, I can't remember. But the crystals in his ear got re-stuck somewhere and he swears it works.
Best wishes.

I had it a couple years ago. Odd thing was it would hit me when I laid down. Went to doctor and got a couple different meds. One was a steroid if I remember right. Anyway it cleared me up pretty fast snd haven't had any trouble since.
Poor people have poor ways.
