Well all the traps are pulled (again) do to the crazy WI weather. High of 50 degrees in Titletown yesterday with 2" of rain. So.... I was given a used Havahart live trap and try as much as I could I couldn't get it to reliably set. Yesterday I took the angle grinder to it and cut it down to the dimesions of a cubby. I took some of the wire and restricted the opening. It will work for a 160 but would really shine with a 220. I used some 1/2" Hog rings and also some cage making clips (Ok a lot) to make sure it was solid.

Since I was posting I also thought I would put up a picture of my system for drying wet animals. I have hooks in the ceiling of my work area and when I have a wet animal I hang them from the leg by using a dog leash. I put in a cheap swivel that I removed from some 1.5 Dukes just to use them up. Should last a lifetime.

Have a good New Year!

That is one thing I like about trappers, they are always looking for a better mouse trap. Good luck with the new trap.
Ok, this is not a mouse trap. LOL

I used to build Front extensions like that for Cage trappers to use in dispatch.
