Here's a recent pic of a 3 hole set that a coyote worked but stayed out of trap. The hole that got dug the most had real coyote pee down it , the other two a different proven lure down each one. It's just one coyote's reaction but it's still information to consider. And it wasnt urine bought from dealer.

Do you have one trap in the center of your three holes.

Where can I get urine besides bladders?

Seems to me the problem is trap placement not urine quality. Just saying.

Wish I had more time to trap....

I agree. A nice dirthole would have caught that coyote and made a nice remake in that sand. I have no desire to try collecting urine. There are guys who have made careers out of it for decades. I'll buy it from them and spend more time dinking around in the shed. Just my opinion.

I don't even know if I could get a permit to cage a fox or coyote for urine collection. When I was much younger I had a friend whose dad caught a bunch of fox that he caged and collected urine but that was in the mid 70s. Things are a bit different now.

Wish I had more time to trap....

I will say it wasn't his go to set. Think he was kind of playing around and the set had nothing to do with the point of posting the pic. But you guys knew that.

So did I read that right? The coyote dug at the hole with just urine down in the hole?

Sorry for so many questions. Just heard something similar from a buddies dad who used to trap back in the late 70’s. Said all they ever used for fox and cats was a pine cone squirted with some fox urine and thrown down the hole.

Don't know the answer to that.

Just curious. If you are making a three hole set like this, where should the trap go and what factors do you use to determine that?

Confused but okay....I saw a pic of a set that missed and gave my opinion. Your initial post said that one hole had urine, the others had lure. I would have put multiple scents down one hole. I don't know what I did to get the type of reply you gave me. This is a good example of why I don't post much...

Look, all: It didn't work THIS TIME! Doesn't mean it won't work. You can second guess any miss, or wait for another shot.
There is no magic bullet that catches every visitor.
Some are proven "high percentage" sets. That is the best any "share" can possibly be.

Made it almost 3 years without censor!
