Of course the jaw spread makes it illegal in GA. I wish they would change the stupid law.

Duke traps are most likely made from recycled low grade cat food cans...... I'm very sad that anybody would even buy one of these copied traps they are pumping out.

Mtp could have cornered this market if they would have made this first.

I looked at a duke 550 my buddy had and looked like a good trap almost identical to the mb550s except a square pan, but with that said I've been nothing but happy with my MB550s and will continue to buy from MTP

I'll buy some Duke 650. Trappers have been asking for that style for awhile now.. Who cares what its called.. Not like the MB650 looks like a Sterling MJ600 or anything....

I really don`t need any more traps but I have around 8 dozen duke #4s that I put paws I trip pans on and love them.Ofcoarse I have MB 650 duke 550 bridger #2s and I`ll probably have to get some duke 650.

That's is seriously what I would love to happen I know some one on hear has to be good friends to them and could oast along the word. The mb 650 is a nice trap but if the had the 550 dog it would be sweet, the pan tension on the mb 650s are hard for me to get just right. 550 is just perfect just need to have a bigger jaw spread.

I would like to know the outside jawspread. Pa. goes by the outside which is 6 1/2 inches. If the inside is 6 1/8 and they have the wide cast jaws it would be over 6 1/2.

Could do the old fashion thing and call Duke to see what the measurement is I bet.

I thought in a former thread,it was said the outside thread was 6 7/8" ? That would make sense if the jaws were 3/8" thick.

Just called Duke and they said 6 7/8 outside. No good for PA.

It wouldn't take much to build another set of jaws to make tbem work for PA and other States-if they wanted to.

I'm in for a dozen. No more base plating, night latching, and adding chain /swivels etc. to Duke #3.
