What does grandfathered in stand for?

As in no more can be purchased? Or. All that are purchased from hence forth will be registered?

Register their AR’s, you mean like NY’ers did ? I’m mean didn’t. Over 1 million so called AR’s estimated in NY, NY State Police refuse to release the number of those registered. Best estimates , less than 40,000, sounds like mass civil disobedience to me.

I have a few friends down there. All of them scoff at registration. It will be interesting to see how many do. A way around it might be to just buy and build a lower and slap the upper on it if you want to go to the range. Personally, I wouldn't register squat.

The sales of 80 percent lowers is going to skyrocket.

Make sure it's a cash transaction

I believe that you can download a CAD program. Possibly even for free from various sites if you know anyone with a CNC mill (that will let you use it). Then all you need is a block of aluminum or even better, get a block of brass and make a golden boy AR. wink It's been done and they really look nice.

This may be a CAD program right here. I never worked or was trained on CNC so I don't know if this is what you would need or how to set it up. Here's the link if anyone is interested and it is free:

"registration = confiscation" should be the chant in the street

No more can be purchased. Those already owned must be registered.

I grew up in NY state where registration was a thing since the 80s at least. It wasn't a big deal there. Just buy your guns from private sellers. And for sure don't register anything you have. If you have guns now, take them to a family members house, and then report them all stolen. No guns to register. Registration laws suck, but are super simple to get around. All that said... I'd still be at that Rally on Monday.... with my gun.

Filing a false police report is not good it is a crime in it's self

but having learned first hand how poor the stolen gun system is , you file a report , you then have to update it every 6 months , I have a good police department that has called me every time it is up so far so I can re-up it's stolen status I don't know if that is how it works everywhere , but I imagine there is a day when they stop calling me to re-up then it leaves the list of stolen guns.

we should not be and don't want to be made criminals or to do criminal things to exercise our natural rights as humans.

forcing people to act in a criminal way to do what they have always done and has never been a crime , would be possibly more devastating than the prohibition on alcohol was , if you recall millions even in 1920s prices or property were seized or destroyed , around 11,000 citizens poisoned to death. it changed crime and criminals and peoples respect for police and for the law in a way that is still present today.

the "problem" is: government has little power to control law-abiding citizens.

the "solution" is: make as many of them into criminals as you can.

This gets me into "trouble" all the time. I do this when the good "scared" folks start babbling about the horrors of guns.

Statistics for leading causes of death in the US 2017. (note I don't know how accurate this data is but I'm using it for illustrative purpose here)

1. Heart disease: 647,457
2. Cancer: 599,108
3. Accidents (unintentional injuries): 169,936
4. Chronic lower respiratory diseases: 160,201
5. Stroke (cerebrovascular diseases): 146,383
6. Alzheimer’s disease: 121,404
7. Diabetes: 83,564
8. Influenza and pneumonia: 55,672
9. Nephritis, nephrotic syndrome, and nephrosis: 50,633
10. Intentional self-harm (suicide): 47,173
Deaths

So I'll bring this up and ask them point blank, "where's your morality and deep outrage for all of these terrible and most preventable causes of death?"

I've lost quite a few friends and family members to the horribly deadly AUTOMOBILE and extremely poor operating skills. Where's the moral majority screaming for the innocent victims?

Now I'm all riled up and I live in PA, but there's plenty of Blue here too! Good luck folks! Keep your powder dry!

Freedom is for those with the intestinal fortitude to LIVE IT, in my opinion.

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.

I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

So the Democratic commie turd still passed major gun law!?

I'm just gonna say it again!

You can't be a Democrat and vote Democrat and understand what it means to be an American nor want to be an American!

Democrats are either brain washed idiots (useful idiots) or full blown communist bent on taking America down!

That's what they are!

That's what you are of you support them in any way!

Indeed, and I do vote and I will continue to do so! I will also remain true to my oaths and the constitution of this grand experiment we call America.

Every time someone brings up the "terrible guns" I ask them "what about personal responsibility?"

Guns don't do anything, neither do cars, or drugs, or any other INANIMATE OBJECTS for that matter. How will you fix the BROKEN PEOPLE that commit these acts?

Yeah.....crickets, grief, and right back to "I wish they couldn't get guns so easy" and on and on ad nausium.....

If one were to flip out in a crowd with a 22 oz. Eastwing framing hammer on a random Tuesday morning the body count could be pretty nasty.

Tools are simply that....tools.

How bad does it have to be for a youngster, anyone for that matter, to make the choice to end the lives of their peers and quite effectively their own life?

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.
