From the deer hit this past fall. The dealer called me the other day and told me my bike was finally finished. It came out to be about $300 from being totaled. It turned out good. The paint matches almost perfectly. It will be a couple months before I can ride it in this weather. Hopefully everything else is up to par. Nothing was really bent or twisted from the hit, so I think everything will be fine.

Finster , do you have a helmet law where you are ?
Where I am we only have an eye protection law ( glasses or safety glasses) but I wear my helmet always. I encourage my friends to do the same. However , I am against a helmet law. Let those who ride , decide.

I wouldn't get on a bike without a helmet. It is insane to do so. Chances of getting seriously hurt or killed in an accident without one increase 75%.

Wonder what a deer at 145 would look like?

I gotta laugh , I wear my leather jacket until it is in the high 90°s and I can't take it anymore. People always ask me , " Aren't you hot ? " plus when the temp gets that high , I usually park the bike and take the car with the A/C.

I always dress for a wreck. Boot's, Jeans, armored leather jacket, armored gloves, and a helmet. It's not hot when you're moving. In fact, it helps you from dehydrating.. I would wear leather pants also but with my "Adonis like" body, I would never get any sleep with women knocking on my door all hours of the night.

I believe the deer, the rider and the bike would all meld into one big pile of goo.
