I'm surprised the Dems aren't asking for time and a half. OH they will get more than that from Trump hater groups.

I guess it depends on how physically hard your working....I think a lot of people today sit on their butts and really do not accomplish much as far as productivity. Some people are on their feet and do not accomplish much...
There are some folks that do accomplish a lot and are very productive.

Looks like President Trump is making work for everyone, he is even putting Congress to work again, but I guess that's not a priority for Washington since they don't like to work. Trump even creates jobs in Iran. They have openings for a couple new military leaders !!! HaHahaha

God forbid a younger person has to work overtime hours. He or she will whine and moan like a little baby. They have an excuse saying it just goes to taxes. Just part of the soft and lazy society we now have.

They called me in one Saturday (off day) to work. I said of course. I started at 0700 and at 1900 my boss called whining that I was still working. She asked why I was still out? I said, I keep hitting the button after closing the previous job and another one pops up! She said, We were only asking for 8 hours. I sent her the text and email I received and nowhere on there did it say anything about 8hrs...ended up with 14 hours that day...at DOUBLE TIME!! Hurt my feelings, lol. Now of course I was younger then and like my 8hr work days now. But I’m up at 4 to check traps before work then resetting/setting more traps after work. Makes for a very long day! I’ll be glad when I can retire and just spend 8-12 hours a day trapping.

If I had to sit through those hearings I'd be complaining to. Anybody who wouldn't needs to schedule a mental health evaluation.
Of course, they did ask for the job.

I'd rather live my life than work so many hours for someone else. Life is way to short to spend it working longer than you have to.

I've dumped way too much time into fixing things for people.... Then I learned to negotiate Decide what you want and seek it out is what I'm thinking and doing Getting another raise and more vay-kay plus just about as much overtime as I want to put in, and I do. But it's not 12's usually and rarely 10's even, I just work the weekends if I need to but it's still steady dayturn regardless. It's something I earned with experience and being good at what I do I suppose. I'm a blessed man for sure. But it wasn't always like this, paid my dues so to speak. I'm waiting for the right youngster to show up and get hired, AND STAY, so I can teach them what I know before I go...... p.s. Swing-shift will kill you dead, I quit at 5 years and feel like I lost 15. Never again...

Keep your boots dry and your powder too.
I remember when a fur check was reality.....now I'm just trapping for the love of it.

Life is way to short to spend it working longer than you have to. x2 I'd like to as well but I also like to eat, didn't pay attention in school and spent most of my time fueling my passion for the outdoors. I work twelve hour night shifts by choice. 7:00-7:00 with an hour commute on each side of it. I run pretty ragged during trapping season.

Everybody wants to get paid nobody wants to work today, it’s tough to find people willing to work for overtime even. We are down 2 jailers now an not many good applicants out there to choose from. You want shot at Law Enforcement come out and apply and start out in the jail.
You get to live on the Missouri River with great hunting, fishing and trapping if you live out here and a few hours to the Black Hills. Been there, (on the job not SD), done that, and thank The Good Lord I am too old to do it again. Garry-

God forbid a younger person has to work overtime hours. He or she will whine and moan like a little baby. They have an excuse saying it just goes to taxes. Just part of the soft and lazy society we now have. Not true of ours. He is about 23-24. He has been taking a bunch of overtime (12hr shifts). Turns out he has bills and a girl he wants to wed. Been working of getting him his promotions. Got him ready for his next one but he has to wait six months. By then he will be ready for his next one. Kid is smart and wants to work. Our team has been lucky and got a couple like that. Guess the point was that not all young kids don't want to work. Maybe we just got lucky with the last few that we got. They are eager to learn and I for one and willing to teach them. When SHTF I will still be the one dealing with it but I know I can count on them to take care of things with out me telling them their every move.
