Remember when this time of the year, half the posts would be about fur sales and what prices the animals fetched? Been awhile.

Things change some when prices are low

Seems like most the people that post on here now are has-beens or lonely.

Do not miss that , lol, but I still like to see fur sale post , I got $45 top out of 2 coyotes finished 4 for $25, I shipped some to FHA hope they do better there

I remember when gas was 52 cents a gallon

When I bought my first car , a '74 dodge charger se w/440 cid , 8mpg , the original owner wanted to dump it because it was a 'gas guzzler' gas was 38 cents a gallon and on it's way up fast. Got a good deal on it.

Im a lonely never was. Wife went to see her folks and i went yote callin. I remember when the landowners didnt say “ go ahead, the guy with the thermal shot 5”. Yotes get mighty brave in the moonlight when i have a shotgun, cant imagine theyre less brave in near pitch black. It seems everyone around here is droppin several grand on thermal scopes to kill 50 dollar yotes. I remember when they were worth 5 bucks.....and those same guys didNt know what a call was. Stupid youtube...

Back in 72', just before I went on active duty, gas was .09/gal. The local stations had a gas war going. Less than a year later (while I was in SE Asia), the OPEC Arab Oil Embargo occured and gas went up.

I rely on a lot of information from the has-beens- if I don't... I'll soon be a never-was-been

I remember there was a time one would be proud of what they sold their furs for, now we're all too embarrassed to brag.

There was always a whole bunch of folks that would come out of the Woodwork, especially right before the Nephi Sale.

When trolling was fishing,
sharing was bragging,
and snot mouth brats got slapped.

Can't get there from here,
but we've made progress lol.

Yep and people are bored

I do miss those days when Trapper Talk was dominated by trappers talking about trapping. The most memorable and entertaining threads were the ones where fur marketing was being discussed/debated.
