Started a project 3 months ago. My local IOOF cemetery has been in operation for the last 100 years. The Riverview Cemetery purchased a computer and I started listing everyone who is buried there. Also listing their age, date of burial, who purchased the lot, when, and the price paid for the burial lot. Also putting down any other information I can find.
As of now everyone is listed and am working on entering the burial permit numbers.
this is a fairly large cemetery, aprox. 12000 grave spaces. I'm not a computer whiz by any means, but have kept plugging away. To me it is very interesting, and respectful to gather this information that maybe in the future it can be used by someone to find out about those who came before us.

This will be extremely helpful for people that are on Ancestory.com or other genealogical sites. A lot of people take tombstone pictures and post on findagrave.com. Your efforts will definitely benefit someone- maybe you could contact them to upload the info upon completion.

As of yet we haven't taken any pictures of the stones. Sounds like a summer project.

Very cool project.
I assume you are using Excel for this?
If so, you may want to learn how to format your data as a table. Then you can sort and filter as needed.
Then, you can look into slicers lol.

Just happy to be here.
