NIce and bushy right now HFT. I like these cross fox with red frosted hair. One year I caught one at my camp that was like a silver but with really cherry red tips on the hair. One I still wish I kept for myself. Luckily it sold well. That was 2011. I caught a marten before too. Surprised me to see one caught. It’s been slow with marten for me and I only keep the boxes set because it’s on the way to the carcass pile where I keep a few wolf sets going. I’ll be heading to my camp to spend a couple days probably by Saturday. Work hard and finish the last section of the big loop and fill in the small loop. Once all my main places are set I will have time to look into some new places and have some fun. Got the marten thawing in my makeshift lab.

Morgan Sophia getting her own snares ready. We’re finally going to have time to set up our favourite close to town spot after I check the camp tomorrow. She’s making 1/16 1x19 with camlocks and we will add some haywire for attaching. Easy and quick set up

Ryan, I love looking at your pictures, but I really don't like having to turn my computer on its's end to see them. Is there anyway you can flip them right side up?

Thanks waggler. If anybody knows how I can post pictures right side up please share the directions. I know with my phone I can click on the picture and a small rotation button pops up to turn them for viewing.

But that just turns then fit a single viewing. It’s not a permanent fix

I finished my official first day back at work today. Did snow depth and density surveys all day. Lots of lynx and fox sign out by the survey plots and we seen a fat young cow moose. Sweet and sour rubs for supper and now I’m relaxing with a cup of java. Next task is to take Morgan to check her lynx snares then I get to go check a few wolf sets out at my lynx and fox carcass pile. Wolves haven’t been back lately but the giant wolverine has taken over the site again. There’s about 8 snares, 2 blind 750s on well used trails and two 750s right close to the carcasses. Hoping to pick up a big fur bearer today but extra hoping my girl connects on a fluffy lynx or even a fox.

Picture from my buddy Jordan. He’s doing good with wolves by checking on the caribou herd. He got 4 on this day including the biggest he’s gotten So far. It’s probably going to take awhile to get one bigger than this monster.

I don’t think he weighed it but I sure agree that it’s huge. It was with a pack of 9-10 that my friend ran into. He was able to get 4.
