The jab stick I made, fits thru wire on Skunk/Coon size cage traps.
Welcomed kyron4 Same here. My favorite stick is a section of fiberglass tent rods. I think it has 6 sections. If he’s nice I might only connect 3 of them. If I need some distance I use all of them. When I’m done I just take it apart. The bango string keeps them together and compact. Fits through small cages easy.
Everything the left touches it destroys

Had thought about the screw type fiberglass chimney rods but the tent rods would work slick. The only hurtle would be to find a set w/o buying the whole tent....

Mostly, have to trim the syringes when I go to replace em. On my Comstock traps I have to cut ports in the trap as they're 1x.5 wire.

As soon as you get the job done pull out the plunger and syringe rinse them with some water then put them in a quart bottle of water works for me. Im still trying to decide though if the acetone is better then a 22 sub sonic in the chest which works most of the time either method just dont get them agitated. Going to try a high power air rifle this season and see how it works-in the chest should work fine I am thinking

Results are instant and spectacular!

There are a number of good products out there that work just as good but no shelf life. I keep several bottles around in my vehicles and shop just in case. Much easier to use.

I’ve been told by a lure/bait maker that skunk (bodies) killed with acetone have no value to bait makers. But skunks killed with vodka have bait value. Since this bait maker is 5-hours away and we don’t get that many skunks, we use acetone.
Never too old to learn

I bought a quart of Skouts Honor Skunk Odor Eliminater today at a local pet store. I find out if it works when I start setting some coyote traps.
57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.
