I would like to know how Many miles he traveled a day on his line and how far apart sets were made. Does he make it a point to make sets every half mile 2 miles?

I would like to know how Many miles he traveled a day on his line and how far apart sets were made. Does he make it a point to make sets every half mile 2 miles? If you look at my Screen shot #2 on the previous page of this thread you can see Robert's entire trapline and the 34 stops where he set traps. Robert set traps where he had permission and where he saw sign. Look at the "T*" places and you can see he had no set distances between stops/sets. I did miss a few stops for various reasons. I probably missed less than 6 stops so figure he made 40 stops to set traps. Some stops had as many as 10 sets. All stops had at least two sets. So my rough guess is he had at least 150+ traps out on 10 Jan. The route we drove that day was 93.5 miles long.

For you numbers guys, Robert shared some information this morning. During the last 66 days of Robert Quest #1 he killed 777 head. This was Dec 1 to Feb 4 and includes a six day Christmas Break. So 777 head for the last 60 trapping days. That is 12.95 (call it 13) head per day for December and January. Not bad averaging 13 coyotes a day for the last two months of the season which typically has the worst weather and a population that has already been worked for a month or so.

If you want to catch 1,000 coyotes you need to go green.
I got myself a seniors' GPS. Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination, it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Yes, any other color and you will fall far short of 1000.

I need some information. I rode with Robert for a few days in January. I gleaned that I need to add a few things to my coyote killing inventory. As ahown below Robert wears some Carhartt stuff. I've been wearing a Woolrich vest and plan to get a Carhartt vest before next fall. I do have a Carhartt jacket similar to the one Robert wears. That is my problem his jacket is green and mine is red. Do I need to go green? ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/4HPqtgg.jpg) Green is my favorite color also it might be a red head thing . But then again you might be on to something if you are superstitions .

BTW, just got home from Tractor Supply and they have already put their coats & vests into storage for the summer.
