Seems like a pretty good gig to me.

20 a night is a good price around here and you bring the food.
many places are 25 or more a night.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Whatever career path you choose, do NOT . . . repeat do NOT . . . become a public school teacher. You'll be sorry if you do.

At that price that's darn good money.

My suggestion, based on one of my sons high school friends, would be pressure washing. I know a young man that started pressure washing as a Senior in high school with a little small pressure washer. After 3.5 years, including an Associate’s degree, he now has 3 hot water trailers and a crew of 4. This kid is making 6 figures a year and not afraid to work. I joked about coming to work for him after I retire and he sent an application home with my younger son who works for him. He called and said for record purposes only, lol, and when can I start?

Ceramic tile laying. Everything fits in one van. Inside work. Tools are affordable.

Oh, you're so cute Diggerman. Good to hear your Mom was one of the happy ones. At what age did you wind up in the orphanage?

Most every teacher I knew over the course of my 31 years in the public classroom enjoyed their course in life, including myself. That all changed when your boy initiated Act 10 and well, you know the rest of the story.

Good one on the tracks quip!

I have a friend who is a farrier and he's only 55 but his body has been beat to crap so bad he can hardly walk. It's a tough way to make a living and you better be willing to deal with being busted up a few times. It doesn't pay enough to go through all that.

I still think you are wrong. I know a guy parleyed his teaching job into a state Supt.of schools and now is governor of the great state of Wisconsin. He is now pursuing a career in retail as he is trying to start up a "mandatory buy back" of our Second Amendment. His clients consists of people who would give up their AR15's to give up their ACT10's.

I was dragged kicking and screaming into the retired horse board biz for awhile, learned more about horses then I ever wanted to.
Most of them are as spoiled as their owners, Had a few farriers that were good, I learned enough from watching, to trim good enough for a useless lawn ornament, If I had to deal with bad horses and crazy owners for a living I Think I'd rather shoot myself...

I am truly sorry that you are so bitter about your experience as a public school teacher. The teachers I know seem to like their jobs as much as the next guy.

Apparently you didn't do so well in whatever education was provided you in the orphanage. Reread the post above for clarity. Serendipity smiled on me as I retired before Booshdag got into power.

Economy is bursting right now, if it were me, and have been here LOL, learn a couple tradesman careers, when one gets slow you can fall back on another, carpentry for home building is always a good one, welding another, electrical work, most any to do with home building, better if you can find an apprenticeship in any of them, but not always necessary if your able to learn quickly, you would save your self many dollars and time from college expense with most any trades job, compared to the expense and wait of college waiting to be called upon to work.

It's imperative you have your own tooling for quick employment, shows your not some lackey looking to just hang out !

If I had it all to do over again I would start my own escort service for young widows who had recently cashed in monster life insurance policies.
