look at your state laws and those that you would plan to hunt see if they have regulations that would make you want something other than a 209 ignition.

if your looking for a little more season and not wanting to participate in some rondy shoots then an inline with 209 is the most cost effective way to extend the season into ML season.

also check if your state needs iron sights or if you can run a scope so you don't buy a scope only gun and have to try and figure out how to put irons on it.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have the same set up and it works great for me.

What ever your taste in guns run and how much you want to shoot I shoot 2 tc firehawks older guns but I like wood and cast 50 and 54 cal. minie balls although im not a fan of tc's quick loading theory one that gets the most use hunting is a traditions 50 cal. super accurate partly because it has an adjustable trigger alsoHave a tc omega super shooter but tight barrel very picky about sabot/bullet configuration I've killed a lot of deer up to 150 yds most at 100 plus or minus with 70-80 grains triple 7 I have shot the 150 grain loads but only seen more smoke ,recoil and noiseStill using #11 caps and musket caps tried 209 primers didn't like the flash-ring that forms ahead of the powder charge and is a pita to clean it'd be best to handle what your looking to buy not only for fit but trigger and safety mechanisms that are user friendly and reliable

TC all the way. I own TC's in both cap lock and an Encore inline. They have been very reliable and in the past they stand by their product (Might not be the case for new ownership) Years ago I purchased a pretty beat up 54 cal. TC hawking that I was going to use as a wall hanger. I got it home and the bore looked great, but the lock was broken and it wouldn't (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman). I called TC looking for parts. They ended up sending an entire lock set to me under warranty.

I do most of my hunting with the Encore 50 cal. now and with some trial and error it shoots very well. I settled on 120 FFFG equivalent triple 7 powder granular, Federal Champion 209M primers, and a Hornady 250 gn SST sabot. It is a legit 200 yard gun on paper and on a few clean kills at 200+.

I have a thompson center and only ML I know anything about.I bought it off a guy that won it for $400.00 a couple years ago.Very easy to clean and groups great out to 200 yards. You do have to clean it after a couple shots and the trigger is a little stiff.I bought it to hunt in Ohio and killed a couple coyotes and a nice buck with it so far.
