I'm headed to moab Utah tomorrow for a job interview.
Just curious if any one has trapped around moab or southern utah.
I have always wanted to trap in a desert setting but are the furs worth much? Coyotes and cats is my main thing.

Yeah fur and trapping is good. Your cats will grade western. Coyotes are not as good as cats-- usually average 40-70 depending on the year, but you get 50 for bounty as well.

Lots of good trapping around moab. I wouldn't want to live there though. Too many fruits and nuts.
I would be careful who you allow to know your a trapper.

Good to know thank you. How dose the bounty work? I see you need to give the scalp. So I take it you either bounty out your dogs or finish them out?

You can sell the fur without the ears.

I just take them the full coyote pelt once it is finished and they split both ears and take the jaw.
