Iv always wondered what other countries other then Canada and the USA. Has trapping and what types of animals
are cought. And whare they sell there pelts. I know there's trapping in Russia. And some In Sweden and Norway I believe. In Russia of course they target a lot of thr legendary Russian Sable. Also weasel /squrials, red fox, and artic fox I believe some eruasin Lynx As well. I know in sweeden they trap some wild finish racoon and red fox as well and wild mink and weasel. And some sabel. But Im veary currious if thare are other countries in the world that have Trapping and what types of animals are trapped.

years ago I seen an Aussie on here who was trapping Dingos, I think they were using poison traps, hopefully they are still around.

Australia , trap for kangroos, I would not be into that, they have lots poisonous aggressive snakes

They trap predators in Africa but I don't think it is for the fur. I would imagine there is trapping in Mexico if you can survive the cartels and south/central America as well.

In the Netherlands, they hire professional trappers to trap muskrats to keep them from damaging the dikes there, which hold back the sea.

Veary interesting. But I wonder if only north America and Russia and some places like sweeden Norway. Are the only countries left trapping for the fur Industry. I hope there's more out thare. But you just don't here of anything. Heck you can't even get a decent Google search on the subject

They used to trap a lot of red fox in Australia, I almost went there in the late 70's to buy them. Don't know if they still trap them there or not.

And of course beavers in Tierra Del Fuego. Mostly damage control but fur and meat is utilized I believe.

Yep. I, too, remember the good old days. I'd just hit for " Traps " and sit there, all night, reading stuff till I just simply had to go to bed.

These days? I only even bother to ask for the most vanilla of subjects. Things which couldn't possibly offend someone gagging to be offended by something. Anything!

Indigenous people all over the planet trap animals.
They all depend on it to one degree or another,for food,clothing or ceremony.
