Just wondering if anyone has used this and what style tan it is? Just for wall hangers or can the pelt be used for cutting up and used on clothing / mitts ?
I can’t find much information on it.

Thanks coydog. I checked it out and did some google searches but all I can find is that it makes 3 gal of tanning solution that can be used again and again. I’m hoping to find out if it’s a tan that can be used on pelts to be used for clothing and mitts or if it’s just for wall hangers.

I I have never heard of a tanning solution that can be used "again and again".

Ok thanks,
Anyone have any recommendations on a tanning product that works well ? I do some wall hangings and add cuffs to mittens and such. The commercial tanning is expensive here and it’s hard to get your money back out. I’d like start tanning some myself , at least for the wall hangers

The tanning style or solution has minimal effect on the softness of a hide. That’s all elbow grease. Certain hides are thinner than others, thus easier to break. Certain parts of a hide are thinner, the belly for example, and thus break easier. There is no magic formula! Repeat, the key is elbow grease.

True.
I have used Thorpe's tan years ago. Don't know what it is. Doesn't seem acid.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Me either, which makes me think its not an actual tan. The way a true tan works, it wouldn’t be possible to be used over and over.
