I couldn't agree more. When they surrendered to the LGBTQXYZ allowing gay leaders in, they lost every ounce of favor I ever had with them. The prosecuting lawyers claim the BSA was aware of pedophiles as far back as the 70s. If that's true adding gay men as leaders is like throwing gas on an already smoldering fire.

The other thing I have a problem with is Boy Scouts should exclusively be boys. Same as Girl Scouts should be exclusively girls.

I have to grand sons that are eagle scouts. A great organization at one time, but no longer. To far gone to stay afloat IMO. Like churches why did they protect these people, they all should be in prison IMB. JMO

Times certainly have changed. When I was a young man back in the day, boys were boys, girls were girls, boys liked girls and girls liked boys and all the sheep felt safe in the pastures . What has this world come too.

When I was a kid one of my best friends father was our Scout Master. He was an amazing man who gave tons of his time to us. It seemed like most every Friday when he got home from work he was loading his van and taking us camping, giving up time away from his wife and daughters to take us bunch of knuckleheads out for the weekend. I think that next to my dad, he was the most influential person in my life. It's ashamed to see what the Boy Scouts have been reduced to today .

I agree it is a sick world I would have stripped everyone of the BS leaders or church officials of everything they had and gave them mercy a life sentence. But having said that the way this country is going now the next POTUS would all give them a pardon. I agree things are going south fast morality, graft, corruption and greed.

Well back in December there was a survey crew down the road marking the property lines at this scout camp. They were there for a week so now I understand why they were there , getting it ready to sell

I read several posts where many state how bad is now with all the recent changes and yes those are major shifts in change and programming for sure but bad stuff was going on 2-3 generations ago! Funny how opening up a organization is to many worse then letting sick men abuse youth and to them that is more tolerable than being homosexual. Our VFW chartered the local cub and boy scout troops for about 15 years until our charter was uncertain. About half of the leaders over those years were females. The troops were growing nicely the last few years. Filing to protect assets may well be the real downfall.

I heard that BSA and the Council are different entities. Therefore the land and camps are not included. Don't know if that's fact

I never was involved in Scouts but my son is now. Has his Arrow of Light ceremony this Thursday. He really enjoys it. He is in the Daniel Boone District. CDB stated on the local news tonight the bankruptcy would not effect them. Up til now he did have some girls in his den which is fine for now. But they will not be allowed to move on with his pack to Boy Scouts. His principal (male) and a mother are the den leaders. She is hard core on the boys as well. It's like stated earlier, the mothers are the ones left to take control of the meetings. There are bad, bad apples in every group of anything, but there is still some good ones out there making fine young men out of our sons today.

I'll echo what all have already stated. The Boy Scouts of America have slid down the slippery slope of liberal thinking and practices, and themoral public has walked away from them, rightfully so !
There is an alternative out there called The Christian Service Brigade. My church has teamed with several others in my community and sponsored a local unit.
