Wow . . . Hood, of Naperville, Illinois, said he was determined to reclaim his title. He trained every day for an average of 7 hours for the 18 months leading up to the big day.
"It's 4-5 hours a day in the plank pose," Hood told CNN. "Then I do 700 pushups a day, 2,000 situps a day in sets of a hundred, 500 leg squats a day. For upper body and the arms, I do approximately 300 arm curls a day."

Now for the stupid question. What is planking? Get set to do a pushup and hold the up position. Elbows locked, back and legs straight. Serious core workout.

Congratulations. But I can think of a lot of better things to do with all the time required to do that. My grandfather would have said put him to work.What a waste of time.

I'm just happy I'm back to where I can get my socks on by myself..LOL I can also do the stairs without having to use the hand rail.. I'm on a roll.. Lmao!
My younger brother who is almost 60 couple months out now and his wife. Both just last Saturday skied the American Berkebeiner. Cable to Hayward Wi. Brother did it in 5 hours something..Not sure about his wife.. Their not the oldest ones skiing by any means, but I think that is pretty cool they do it..Been 20 some years they've skied it now..
