So with coon being almost worthless this year, I kept 5 or 6 flat coons to tan. I used the orange bottle, with a real pickle and not just a salt bath. They turned out pretty good in my opinion. I found a pattern online and made some big gauntlet style mittens. It took most of an afternoon of hand sewing, but I think it was worth it. I even used them a month ago while blowing snow. They were every bit as warm as my $40 cabelas gloves. Then I added a coon fur trim to my 9 year old daughters coat. She wasn't sure what to think about it at first, but she gets lots of compliments from people that notice it is real fur.

Heck yeah I want to do this so bad I have three coon I'll be tanning and hopefully make a pair of gauntlet style mittens like you made
