by a bobcat kitten.... is having your wife there as a witness! I let this little punk go after he was caught by two toes in a MB550. Probably weighed 10 lbs or so. After he was done feeling groggy from the choke-down I figured I should get my cell phone out of the truck and get his pic. My wife (city girl) was convinced I was going to be mauled to death by this little guy should I approach him, and despite my reassurances that he was harmless, she could not be convinced that my approaching him to take the pic was safe. In fact, she was very emphatic about it and was becoming more and more hysterical the closer I got. So right after I took the above pic what does he do? Little booger makes a run at me and I had to high tail it back to the pick up and jump in the cab as he ran under the truck...going for my ankles? The little twerps run at me meant (according to my wife) she was right and I, once again, wrong! It WAS a dangerous animal after all! LOL

beaverpeeler, I am glad you are in good humor, as I have a tale for your wife involving a like situation.
We needed a faucet fixed so I told our plumber to just go in and do it if we were not home. When I got back, I figured out over the next several months that the plumber had trouble with our male Manx which is a breed that is about 90% wild. He HATES people in work clothes and heavy boots now. My lesson was I came in to get a pail of water for some poultry, turned my back and WHAM, that cat with coveralls on, clawed through, bit through and left my calf a bloody mess of deep cuts and punctures in a few seconds.
Your little bobcat would have given your entire backside the same bloody treatment and more. That bob would have climbed your body clawing all the way and then went to work on your neck. Next time, get in the pick up first, have the window down, and then release the bob. I learned to walk backwards when I have my boots on so I do not get another lesson in cat.
