Hey guys, I posted a new video on my YouTube channel ... it's been very well received in some of the Facebook trapping groups, but in case some of you guys aren't ever on Facebook I wanted to let you know about it too. I checked with Paul first and he said it was OK to link to it in here...

For all those who've asked to see footage of animals working the set... this one's for you! I poured a lot of time into this video and I like how it turned out... The first half of the video focuses on set construction, while the last half is a lot of catch footage and fox and coyote working my sets.

If you like what you see, please subscribe. I'll have a very similar video in a few weeks coming that's JUST cats... with a lot of footage of cats approaching sets, both at night AND daytime footage -- as well as one of the best catch videos of a cat stepping in my trap that I've seen.

Nice video.I know your trying to get footage but I was looking at a couple of the toe caught and thinking how I would of not had footage because of killing it to quick.I was thinking man hes going to learn the hard way.Then at the very end it happens.lol Looking forward to the cat video.Tracey put videos of cats on here years ago and it showed me just how quick a cat reacts to a trap going off and how high they jump when the trap goes off.

As Wadell once said "Give him only one place to step". Sticks in my head every time I set for coyotes now. And as soon as I don't do it, I have tracks outside the pan.

Yeah, it was only that one coyote in the video ... I cut the footage off just before he pulled out and then showed the “end” of it as a sort of blooper at the last. I’d sent that footage to a good friend when it first happened several years ago, and when I told him I was putting this video together he told me I HAD to include it as it was the most hilarious thing he’d ever seen, LOL.

I do pay a lot more attention to how deep the catch is after that little experience

And the first thing I look at when I get to a catch is that paw. A deep catch gets a lot of pics and maybe a video...a toe catch gets a pic or two as I’m reaching for the gun, lol.
Going make a few sets this evening using your bedding method as well...thanks.

That's pretty humbling... really appreciate those nice words! I'll have a little more trapping stuff out this summer, as well as lots of adventures with the boys fishing. I just bought an underwater camera to see if I can get some cool footage of some of those adventures
