^^^^^^^ It will be interesting to hear if Bruce was actually tested, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he wasn't. That is why the number of people who actually have CV is MUCH greater than is being reported. They don't really seem to be interested in testing the majority of people who are showing typical CV symptoms. The kid (18 yo) who I know who apparently had it was told to stay home, don't cough on family members, and to "call back if you are worse or not getting better in a week". He's about back to 98% right now.

The Chinese practitioner who suggest higher temps for controlling the virus is probably right on. I think that is kind of standard for most viruses isn't it? That is why the body produces a fever in an attempt to kill pathogens.

yes I know...thats my point also Jeff, phils isnt rarely 73 0n a cool day and thats the temps they say it dies above.,kinda. I know in philippines I was never sick like I have been every yr here. I also figured its because the food is uncontaminated mostly with chemicals and artificial sugars etc. Over there every yr I would get the flu for 1-3 days maximum and they have some tough flu"s and the environment is very contaminated and toxic in places in philippines. I believe I got my cancer in manila drinking the water in quezon city.. Also a filipino diet is mostly alkaline and thats how I live in philippines. In philippines I live like a native and I dont live in big expat areas, easy for me because I speak tagalog and bisaya.. Actually numbers doubled overnight in philippines....now 24 https://www.cnnphilippines.com/news/2020/3/9/Philippines-new-coronavirus-cases.html

So Bruce, have you been given a test to confirm? Is the state aware of your symptoms?
Here in Oregon they're keeping close tabs on all who have symptoms. Governor just declared a state of emergency (so we can get more test kits).
Hope you get it whipped soon. Don't sound like fun. At the time I came down with this there were very few people being tested. Maximum capacity was less then 100 tests per day in the entire State. I believe they were only testing serious cases. I called in and was told to stay home unless I needed medical intervention. So no I have not been tested but symptoms match . They took down my contact info and wished me well. Told me to stay isolated for 72 hours after cough and fever ends. Also said I could call my local Dr for advice which I have not done. Feeling a lot better today. Still coughing and clearing my lungs but things are looking up.

Hump, how old are you? I'm 73, and wouldn't sweat this thing at all if I was younger. They say it is most serious for geezers! Good luck with yours! As it works out, this virus was my 65th birthday present.

Hope you get to feeling better.

I missed it somehow, you were never tested but you have the virus? How do they know that? From what I’ve read it’s about like the common cold or our normal flu. its the luck of the draw. Evidently you didnt read much about it. Its mostly dangerous to ppl over 60 and or ppl with un derlying sickness. I.e. diabetes, immune deficiencies, etc. Plenty of info out there.

Understand that, as is the regular flu, cold, etc...what I want to know is how they or he knows he has it without being tested? Is there a symptom that exclusive only to Covid-19 or are they just ruling anything flu like that particular virus now? Yes, a shrinking 401.

I just quit looking at it, lol!

The CDC has only had the capacity early on to test for it, and couldn't test very many a day. Now the states are all equiped with the test kits, but still not able to test but so many a day. They are doing the same as china did, telling people with symptoms to stay home. The problem with this strain, is you can spread it before there are symptoms that are noticable. That is what makes this bug more dangerous than many of the others. Maybe not to the young, but it is rather dangerous to us older generation, And I ain't ready to throw in the towel just yet!

Apparently the symptoms are cough from the lungs and fever. It doesn't have symptoms like a head cold or the flu that are more in your head. At least that's what I've led to believe. I don't know if Bruce had any head symptoms but my other friend who apparently had it had just fever and deep cough, no nausea or body aches either.
