Wow that was one efficient bear at getting beaver!

Great looking cross foxes and some serious claws on your grizzly.

May 2020

We three crouched low watching the big flock of wavies get closer and closer. “Hmmm12 gauge range there” I thought, but we needed them closer, much closer.

“Now Dad?”

“Wait... wait... remember to aim... finger off the trigger until you stand up...NOW!!”

Proudest Dad as I watched her first ever come down.

Ryan please be sure to tell Morgan congratulations on a successful goose hunting trip I couldn't be any prouder of her if she was my own grandkid !!!!!
It doesn't hurt those kid's to be out enjoying the hunt and spending quality family time while hunting and teaching them important life lessons and skills !
Keep up the good work and I'm certain that you're enjoying those kid's and making life long memories for everyone !
Allan

Howdy. Ive been taking my two older kids out shooting this summer and it got me thinking that life is a never ending cycle of learning stuff until you eventually become the one doing the teaching. It wasn't really too long ago that I nearly knocked myself out cold learning to shoot grandpas 308 LOL. So proud of my kids and their love for all things outdoors. Anyways I made a video and thought id share it. Enjoy.

Nice job on the video. Love seeing you and your family out and about. Looks like the kids are catching onto shooting thanks to your great teaching. That cardboard caribou is an excellent idea!

Thanks guys.

Got a great unexpected text message from my uncle steve the other day. Usually his text would be something like "Wanna look for moose after work?" I invited him out to our geese camp last spring and he had a great time out there. He noticed my old boat wasn’t very good and it really is a piece of junk. His text said keep teaching the kids like you’ve been doing and come pick up their boat.

1648 Lund. Blew me away. I’ve been hoping to get my hands on a newer boat for the spring hunt but Just don’t have the money these days to buy one. Still can’t believe it. I told him we’ve always got room at camp whenever he wants to come hunting. I wish I videoed the kids reaction when they came home, seen it in the driveway and found it that its ours for hunting geese. The kids love our spring goose hunt. Last year when Bobby was in kindergarten the teacher asked his class where would you go if you could go anywhere in the world?

"Sea World!"
"Disney Land!"
"Disney World!"
"Hollywood!"
"My camp at Mackenzie River!"

That's Uncle Steve doing the shooting. Bobby and Morgan walked and picked up the glider for him

Kids went on another adventure. Piling up the experience already. The plan was for the kids to do the shooting but when our chance came it was quick and at a long distance with fading daylight so Greg and I let er rip and nailed the bulls on our first shots at a little under 400 yards. The big bulls are just rolling with fat after the cool summer we had.

Morgan. Hard working daughter. She’s handling sharp knives like a pro Now. No more sawing away with a butter knife.

Last weekends trip. Got a couple bulls by myself. Really fat after the cool summer. Shifting my attention to moose for the next week to ten days. Got to get a bull before they start smelling. Then caribou again before end of the month.
