Slice ham thin, put cream cheese on the ham and roll the ham around the leeks, great snack!

I've had a small plot of them in spot in my back yard.. I found them several years ago on a farm woodlot while turkey hunting brought some home. Did some research on them at the time. They spread by seed or by rhizomes like quack grass. Did read where I believe was a study in MI where they trying to figure out just how they grow. Apparently in places the take off quit well in other areas they said very slow to reproduce or spread. Even where they grow seem to grow well they reproduce slowly. Do recall they recommended not harvesting more than a 3rd of any patch in one season.. I know the ones I trans planted on to my property have been 4-5 years now and have spread very little.

Did you plant them on a hillside?south facing?
If you plant them as high as you want them to go they'll reseed themselves down the bank.

Several sources says ramps aren't quite as prolific below 3000ft.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Ramps have more of a garlic taste to me. I take ramps and wild onion, mince and press them together. Then I melt some butter and add the mash to the butter and let it simmer a few minutes. I then pour it into small containers and use it when I need to grease a pan or to add a wonderful taste to any of my food dishes I make. You can also freeze small portions and use as needed.

Maybe in the future a recipe and pic? 3 parts white vinegar to 1 part water. For the brine.I fill quart jar with eggs and leeks,,I also add several chunks of garlic while filling..add one teaspoon salt and tablespoon of pickling spice to each jar.I also add half teaspoon of crushed red pepper.Gives them a nice little wack.I bring the brine to a simmer,,then pour in jars to cover the eggs.I then water bath seal the jars.My wife LOVES Them.Probly her way to keep me away from her.
