To report who has contracted it so those that know them can get tested vs. locking up an entire population because of a handful?

Point is moot. Not enough tests. By the time we have enough it already will be everywhere like it currently is.

I get they can't release the person's name because of HIPAA laws, but I always see the articles say they're working to contact individuals that may have been in contact with the infected individual, but never any specifics. Does that mean those infected people never went out in public? Why not divulge that information?
For example... infected person A was at Kwik Trip gas station on Cardinal Ln at 10:30am on 3/28, filled up at pump 7 then went inside and used the ATM before checking out and heading to Jimmy John's across the street. Right and when they ask you if you've been in contact with someone who tested positive for the virus. How are you supposed to know if they won't divulge the names of those infected?

I understand what you are saying, Warrior. But, if the church members don't know the name of the person who tested positive, how are they supposed to know if they were within 6 feet of the person? I'm sure the infected person would never be able to recall all the people they were within 6 feet of or even spoke to.

there should be a form , give us your every were you can remember for the last 7 days with times as best you can
I went the grocery on main about 12 on saturday I went to the sandwich shop across the street after shopping I went home to church Sunday work Monday -Thursday ate out Wednesday tested Friday then stayed in and didn't go out test came back positive Monday
the problem is as an example there was a lady who got a call from her DR that she tested pos while she was in a Jo-ann fabrics she told the staff who brought it to the manager they did not close the store then and wait for a cleaning crew the manager called corporate who sent a cleaning crew over night but they kept the store open and employees working for 6 more hours first.
first if you thought to get tested you should not go anywhere till you test negative then it should stay minimal and with minimal exposure to others second any place that has a confirmed positive needs to close and clean immediately or close and wait 73 hours to re-open.

True. Probably why churches are off limits. You run the risk with all places of businesses when you touch any door handle, shopping cart, tools, etc.

why more places are going drive up
you control your door and surfaces much better but still get the product to the customer.
the pharmacy here has gone to that , got some scripts refilled last week call it in , give a card over the phone and call when you get to the parking lot tell them your name and type of vehicle like white GMC truck they come out with your script all in a bag stapled shut and hand it to you.

Hoping that the person that test positive has a good memory.
If it so important to keep everybody home then it’s important to announce that Joe Public from Anyville tested positive and if you have been in contact with him recently you need to quarantine.

I doesn't matter as they are denying people with symptoms the test and sending them home , of course they stop by the store on the way home and infect others
