Ok folks, with this quarantine going on, what is some of the things ya'll are doing to keep busy? I'm a LEO, so my job is essential. My wife on the other hand has been off work for a few weeks now with orders to not come back until at least Apr 20th. When I get home from work, I spend another 4-6hrs outside working in the barn on various projects. Routine maintenance on my zero turns and tractor, making new products for my wife to sell on ETSY, cleaning chicken coops, building/hanging new rabbit cages, etc. I'm pretty sure I've loaded enough ammo to last me a decade. I believe I've changed the line on my fishing poles 2x, casted a few lead weights, and now I'm prepping the garden. Heck, I even marketed and sold over 500# of chicken and rabbit manure this week.

What have ya'll been doing?

I mowed the lawn today. started around 8:30, finished around 12:30.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

Working at the cabin on my off days clearing brush and restocking some firewood. Doing some spraying getting ready for some “campers”. Spreading manure and fertilizer, turning some dirt. Tanning some deer skins.

Within the house I’m learning some piano riffs on the guitar. Band leader sent out a “need to learn” list so I’ve spent some time on that.

Still trucking 3 days a week.

Im going to work a little part time. Today I put new bench seats in my 12 foot semi v to go with the old evinrude I have been putting back in shape. The aluminum frame with styrofoam that mounts under the seats was fine. I just bolted them back under the new bench seats. Was at bass pro yesterday and bought some new oars along with braided nylon limbline cord and hooks. Flat head time is almost here and I plan to be ready and have time to catch a few.

Dropped a rebuilt moter in boys 83 GMC truck. Have gas tanks ordered to replace on it yet. Got garden tilled up and ready to plant. Worked on boat getting it ready to go slam some slabs later this week. Got to get my bait tank up and running yet and get stuff ready to start graffting pecan trees in a couple weeks.

I been just going out and taking on a small chore. Trim trees, organize the emergency supplies in the truck? Organize a garage or a barn.

It distracts me, makes me sleep good at night, and things are getting caught up around my little corner of the Earth

I work at a feed mill so I’m still going to work. This weekend we tore down a pole bar next weekend maybe build some fence who knows. The only thing this has virus has changed for my daily life, is I haven’t went and visited my grandparents, and they have had Sunday church cancelled, other than that I keep living my life just like normal

Enclosed the bow of the boat with wood and windows. Trying out some bullets in the 223WSSM and 30-03. Patterned the scatter gun for turkey. Still fighting brush and the future food plot. Went shroom hunting on Friday. Build a couple of raised beds and carted some dirt in for those. Next up fixing the head gasket on the tractor. More ammo testing build a fire wood shed, then build a bandsaw mill and a barn and then a house. I could keep this social isolating thing up for another year or five. But will have to go and work in a couple of weeks or so or stop eating. Turns out ya can't pay bills with toilet paper.

wife said today they are requesting we only make essential runs to the grocery and pharmacy.

by the end of the week I might be drinking shots of burbon with a beer chaser when I run out of soda to mix.

I'm working from home practicing retirement. Closed my office for the time being. My secretaries are all working from their homes too.
I've been cutting down dead elm trees and saving the wood for my nephew who has an outside wood boiler. Got a lot of buckthorn and prickly ash in my woods. Been cutting the stuff down and painting the stumps with undiluted Crossbow. My arms look like I got into a fight with a cougar from the prickly ash.
