Poor people don't even pay a single penny in Federal income tax in the US. 44% of adults in the US pay no Federal income tax. The rich and moderately rich shoulder the whole Federal tax burden for the whole country.

Isolation and separation is starting to work but a temporary bounce in my opinion earnings are going down the tube agricultural prices are down worst yet to come.

Could be that we are seeing some better news on the virus both with slowing the spread and possible ways to treat it. Many think the Market bottom has been reached and they don't want to miss out on a once in a decade buying opportunity. If it sustains there will be a lot of short covering.

Retracement rally..not unexpected.

Going up about 2% again today. As an investor that is a good thing for me. What it does say also is there is a huge disconnect between the stock market and the general workings of the economy at the ground level. We will soon hit 15 million plus out of work and our markets rise? Not unlike 2006-09 when the major corporations created huge cash reserves in the trillions. Now they can wait for the 500 billion to be distributed by the US treasury department. Not a bad deal really. The can create leverage in the market and receive cash as well.

The Market is always a leading indicator. It is showing confidence in the future. I hope it is justified.

I don't see how it can be justified. Once the earnings for the current quarter come in I think we may see another leg back down. There's no way earnings can be "good" with the economy at nearly full stop....IMO

The markets are completely superficial and manipulated by the big corporations. The pandemic was great opportunity for them to cash out of our record high market, now they are buying back at the bottom. Naturally people will start buying in hoping that the market will be back up by next fall and the companies got you by the balls again. The big dogs know what the market will do two weeks in advance while us peons are at their mercy.

The markets are unpredictable in the short term. Over a 5, 10, or 20 year period, they are stable. I bought some stocks with some play money when things dropped a month ago but most of my money is staying in index and blue chip funds. I'll ride the highs and lows and double my money every 7 or 8 years.

Well I am not the news kinda guy, but I heard 200 police officers got over it and went back to work. There will be lots of others in all types of jobs getting well and going back to work, including Drs and nurses. Good news !
