Prn trapper P Joined: Jul 2019 Posts: 415 South Dakota	Nice work, did the carp bite or was it snagged? I had one bite a plug once trolling for walleye. Thing weighed about 15 lbs, thought it was the state record walleye for awhile. LOL

Lake is normally clear but the floods last few weeks has got colored water from one end to the other( 59 miles) Smallmouth go nuts when this happens. 3 feet deep and mean as all get out . I almost lost my rod couple times they hit it so hard!!!!!!!!!!! Yes carp bit thought he had a giant flat head . Man I was disappointed to see that yellow thing roll up.

LOL Prn we catch very large carp in early morning and late afternoon on rattle trap, shad raps etc on a lake near the house. They are out in deeper water (20ft +) on the surface feeding on schooling minnows. When we are fishing walleye and see them off in the deeper water we will go out and chase them around for a bit. They can be a ton of fun to catch
