Getting to old to carry beaver out so I use my golf pull cart to pack them out. Got a 66 pound female today. [Linked Image]

That's a hog. Cool idea with the cart. I made a cart out of an old ladder stand and a couple of really big lawn mower wheels. I can hook it behind my bicycle but It's not easy to pull heavy weights with the bike.

My trap vehicle is a smart car so space is a premium. It folds up pretty small.

Nice work, that's a beauty. After a couple of long hauls out over the shoulder this winter I've been thinking of making some kind of collapsible travois that I could keep in my truck and use to pack out beaver where I can't get a jet sled in.

WTG!...I use a sled snapped to a deer drag D-ring at the base of my back, so my legs do the pulling.

This is a poor picture of it in the background but this is the cart I made to haul stuff on when I'm trapping including the drowning rods, traps, beaver, etc. Works good for me unless there is thick brush and no path.

On that particular day I had just got back from dragging all of that stuff on that cart about a half mile through tall swamp grass, deep mud and water. I also had to pull it across a fast flowing stream. Of course it was all up hill and against the wind too and it was hot out. I drank my entire water supply when I got back to the truck.

I used this to negotiate obstacles back to the truck or sled.

If I’m going to half to pack out a beaver or 2 or more..it’s easier for me to quickly skin them and toss in a bag at the site .

It was actually easier. I was on a solid trail and has 3 wheels to distribute the weight

I use one of the black sleds like in the first picture attached to a two wheel deer cart.

That handle hauler Is Ok but I made mine out of an old piece of seat belt material so I could put It over my shoulder. A lot easier to do It that way then hauling with one hand. Then both your hands are free and you can use your walking stick to It's full advantage.
You can also use a back pack frame. And just ratchet strap the beaver to the pack frame. It's also a easy way to pack In traps.
The other thing I always did was to gut my beaver before hauling them out. It's a easy way to lose about 10 lbs.
