I clean any dry mud off boots. Put foot powder inside, an wipe with armor all or generic brand of armor all on rubber or material that similar rubber. An put in room out sunlite, fold up once, it get maybe 80 temp in room sometimes at most summer. Is this all can do ?

You could buy new every year.

I just spray the mud off and hang then in my shed from boot hangers. Mine are 6 or 7 years old I think, have no leaks. Armor all seems a little bit too much.

Do you really worry this much about such little things Dave?

I say buy a new pair every year is what you can do! If you wear size 9 you can send the old ones to me and I’ll make sure they are disposed of properly.

If want any use out hipboots the following season, should do something with them, I had hiking boots in behind seat pickuo for summer. They dry rot from sun, put on an walk an not far the bottoms came apart , I would think armor all would soften an preserve for while. Not last till Nov

What you are doing should keep them lasting longer. Keep them outta the sun and keep armor all on them. I coat mine weekly during season with armor all and during storage and it has made a big difference in how long they last.

Because where you fold them will crack eventually. Hang them or lay them flat with no fold.

Submerse in swamp water inside and out to kill germs . Then roll tightly and tie up with wire and store outside in the sun. The hotter the better. Has worked fine for me.

Hang upside down and shove an empty 2 liter bottle up each leg. Folds and creases are your enemy. Keep out of sunlight and away from running electric motors. UV light and ozone are harmful to rubber.

you make hangers for free with two coat hangers and a strong rubber band made from a tire innertube

Use pants hangers and clip from fingertips and to prevent mud Dobbers or wasps from building nests you fold up the bottoms and clip with clothes pin
