It looks really cheap! I don't know what the difference between physical and not physical is but 10 years ago or so it was about $50. What is it now 10?

Might be good insurance if things really went bad to have some silver coins or eagles not so much for investing but for spending. I'd stay away from bullion.
As angry as people are over sitting for 30 days and getting their stimulus and maybe unemployment, I hate to think how bad it could get when people have nothing. Banks may be backed, but the system won't work without the internet or electricity cash would rule and some hard coin just for insurance.

Question-- Do bit coins have wings, lol ?

I think it depends on what amount you are talking about. Physical silver (actual silver that you have and can hold in your hands) vs silver certificates of ownership could be good to have around in 50 to a few hundred ounces.....depending on how much cash you can afford to invest and not miss. A few weeks ago it was pretty low ($11 or so) but you would have had a hard time buying some for that.

jmo.

price for real has been much higher than spot due to suppy and demand...you can get eagles or country of origin minted coins for about 7 over spot if ya can find them...i think it will go down after this stimulous money is spent.
most dealers sell out pretty quick. ive been buying some

Silver is an industrial metal primarily, kind of like copper. If you feel that there is going to be industrial demand for metals then buy it. However, if you want a hedge against inflation buy gold.

As evidence that silver and gold react differently to economic conditions just compare the price of the two over the last month or so.
Just because they are both precious metals does not mean they have the same uses, or respond to economics and other world issues in the same way.

I've heard that copper, brass, aluminum, etc are way down right now too. Iron is $20 a ton around here right now. That's crazy!
