I have for sale several different Victor #3N traps that were used by various Governmental Agencies. In the photo above is pictured a typical 3N trap with a "dog knot" stake attached in a typical fashion(especially on older setups). Victor 3N traps have cast offset jaws and a twist link chain with cast swivels. The traps I am offering for sale are similar to the one pictured and all have original dog knot stakes attached. All are USED(when Govt traps were used it often meant that a set of traps were placed on a ranch and maintained for years, only tended and reset when it was necessary) and as a consequence, most are rather aged and weathered. The dog knot stakes were generally fairly uniform in manufacture but not identical. A friend who was head of wildlife services in North Dakota in the 70s had a Job Corp center in Wyoming make stakes for them and they were customized somewhat. The markings on the bases of the traps I offer here are stamped by presses except for the South Dakota traps that were hand stamped GFP(I am not aware of any SD GFP traps machine stamped).
