Each and every meme anybody sees needs to be fact checked, even if it supports their own narrative. It seems that today Fake News is the news that is not what we want the news to be.

I didn't think memes were taken seriously enough that they need to be fact checked. They shouldn't be, anyway.

When they're shared and reshared and reshared, it means they are being passed on as information. Passing them on as information is accepting them as truth. When they are used to try to further an argument then they are most definitely being taken seriously.
a meme is not just something entertaining, it is often simple text like the made up crap about the connection between people like the one I fact checked.

Maybe you're right, but I've never viewed them as more than just entertainment. Weather I agree or disagree, it's worth a few seconds time before moving on.

I do not pay attention to the progressive propaganda networks but one day we will need to do something about them....
