No birds here, stay out I'd say we had a decent hatch this year, pair that with hardly any hunting of them last year (went from too wet, directly into too much snow). It's not ever going to be like it was in the early 2000s, but its better this year than its been in the past couple. Although its been dry lately, there is still a ton of water sitting around, with no where to go. The past winters and springs have been brutal for water. I come out in December regardless. And, last year was the best year I've had. I limited each day pretty easily and only hunt public. So, I'll be back, but it was crazy that some of my favorite hunting spots were completely covered with water last year. It was good because it forced me to move around and find other spots.

I’ll be up that way next week but it’s been a dry summer very dry during hatch times, most potholes dried up by me, the last time I was up Huron way they were dry also. I drove by one of my rat places from just last year and a big section was worked with a tractor it got that dry this summer.

Just got back from the Huron and Aberdeen areas water yes a lot no ducks were standing more then floating, some potholes were dry or muddy looking. The mud should protect the sloughs from getting cut and baled at least.

Been getting some rains now more rain in the last month then during the summer, it rained heavy last night and is still coming down now so expect it to be wetter then predicted before. Crops up in places still corn mostly beans we’re getting picked in places.
I hear more shooting this year so must be more birds and hunters then in the past years.
