I got a email today that I think is a paypal scam. It told me I had to update my information or I would not be able to use my account. It looked official but the email address it came from looked dicey. I didn't click on anything in the email and forwarded a copy of it to PayPal customer service. Just letting everyone know that it might be a scam going around. Do not click on anything in the email and forward it to paypal should you get it. BEWARE

I get those all the time. Just look at the email address it came from, pretty obvious it is not from Paypal.
Also, my first clue is that I don't have a Paypal account.

I get those things almost daily. I'll get them from Wells Fargo, American Express, Bank of America and many others saying that my account will be cancelled if I don't update my information. Thing is, I don't have an account with any of those.

No financial institution worth it's salt will ask you to update by email or phone by a solicitation. Offering any info in either of those days is a mistake commonly made by a lot of older.people who were raised in a time when you could trust your fellows. Made by younger people because no one ever told them not to. Scare tactics are a common mo ey scam.

We get them weekly from some so called business of operation. Our local cable company that we use I get phishing emails almost daily stating a need for us to update our information or our account will be closed.

I got text a link from a supposed Wells Fargo account saying my money would be frozen if I didn't update my information. I know daggum good and well I would never park my money there because few years back they called in a biz note on a friend when they realized his biz now included creacoating firearms.

Be careful out there folks
