Just planted some sunflower seeds to start them inside.I put them out in the sun on sunny days.

They germinate when soil temps are in the mid 40s so you don't need to baby them very much.

I am thinking about planting a patch for wild life. In years past we have grown some around the garden. I'm thinking a few 100 ft by 12' strip. Mixed verity. I was thinking just till and broadcast the seeds by hand and lightly hand rake to cover. I better seed really seed heavy I don't know the percentage I wood loose to birds and mice before they germinate.
