I have always wanted to try the ISOS version, just had not gotten around to it.I always radius the non-lammed jaw edge of the IL jaws and they work well. The cast jawed version is heavier and at least on the ones I have, the jaw edges aren't as rounded as I like and for awhile,I got more damage than the IL's but I have fixed that.Still,a great trap.At the time I ordered the replacement cat jaws,FTP didn't offer the laminated replacement jaws unless they had the traps in hand.Later, they developed a jig and I was able the get some replacement IL jaws and that is what I used to cobble together the traps I called the Hybrids. Thanks for the info on the ISOS,traps,Gbus.
My pleasure , I'm gonna go thru my cast 650s and work those edges a bit.

I have a couple dozen rd jaw Northwoods 1.5 coils. I wish I had more of them. Strong, heavy and when set are very flat setting. I like them on my rat line on houses and feed beds where they can reach water easily.
Bryce I got some I can sell ya $4 ea.

Yep I use the one hand setters to work on both, I'm also gonna widen the trash gap on my 650s. Probably have to pull the spring bolts. Cast steel is easy to work with.. Thanks for the Dremel flap wheel tip..

Jab I also agree with you about catching yotes with traps of yesteryear. I set some dbl LS every year and they always seem to connect. Ive stated on here before that i still use some of my great grandpas square jaw victors, little more on adjustments but they have been productive. Im ready to set that monty, I just like the design of it.

Getting baseplates in mail today for Northwoods, and putting them on with any luck todays schedule dont implode. Then attach chains and new Conners double stake ends, boil and wax all traps this weekend. Then wait for calendar to churn out days before they go in the dirt...
