Friend of mine booked a nice little beach house in baja California. The pictures didn't show that on one side of the beach cottage was a motorcycle repair shop (non-stop revving during daylight hours) and on the other side an all night Mexican disco with heavy 'ranchero' music which went on every night until the wee hours.

Ed that is what we decided. If we see a place that wilk work we will message the "host" and get an actual address or it's a no go. With an address we can google earth the location and know how many motorcycle shops and how man blocks to the nearest Tejano music hall. They can vibrate your pillow for at least half a mile.

We have stayed in several of these rentals in different states in the past few years and have always been satisfied. She does some research and contacts the host. CA, NJ, SC, NC, TN, VA

I’ve been lucky so far. I’ve booked several times through Airbnb for house at ski resorts and each time has been as described.

In their defense, after Harvey Airbnb hooked my up with a beach house the undamaged side of the back so we could drive to Port A and Aransas Pass where they needed adjusters in the worst way. After Flo in 2018 the turned me onto a beach front condo on Wrightsville beach but then I had local knowledge. I know Corpus Christi well and there are no bad places on Wrightsville Beach (barrier island outside of the Wilmington area.
I like working with the ppl here in West TN but this little rats nest stinks.
