Looking to buy a good auto feeder. Anyone use them and what do i need to look for? Looking to set one up on about 100 acres. Need one big enough to last maybe two weeks before filling it. Thanks, Sarge

Bears not common around here. Just wanting to get the deer coming my way. Probably go with a timer model(moultrie).

I have a couple moultrie pro feeders. About 110 bucks shipped from amazon. Make sure its the one that takes 6v batteries. They hold enough corn to last a good month easy. Plenty easy to program and work great for me. I would advise getting some 6v rechargeable batteries and the charger. It will be cheaper in the long run than buying regular batteries. Buy an extra so you always have a charged one ready to go. Ive had them last months on a charge feeding twice a day but probably easiest to just swap them out when you refill the feeder. If you have squirrels buying one with the metal spinner might be a good idea or they will chew the plastic one off. I believe they sell wire cages that go around the spinner to keep coons off them but i dont know if they work all that great, just something they have to tear off before they hang upside down on the spinner trying to get corn to come out.

Moultrie Have had one for several years You can program it , easy to set up Holds 300 , maybe 350 lbs corn Mine uses 6 volt battery, like possum man said a rechargeable battery wud be best. I just feed one time a day , so my battery last all season October-February,concentrates them to that one time for feed. Mine also has 4 tubing lengths to each leg so you can set it up for the hight you prefer Never had a problem with it Caught on sale at academy around 100.00 one Christmas No tools required , takes an old man abt 15 min to put together
