That sucks, I had a similar experience today. We don't get overflow here normally like you guys have to deal with up north, but. . . was out this morning and ran a loop, coming back by the pickup about 9 am to head up a different road when I came off the one I was on I decided I would ride across the meadow instead of running the snowmachine a couple hundred yards down the plowed road to the other road I was going to go up. Was parked in a spot go-fasters come to ride on the weekends and there were plenty of snowmachine tracks across the meadow, which I have road across many times in the past. But it poured the rain Sunday and Monday. I pulled out in there and all of a sudden the Bearcat sunk! Stepped off into knee deep water. Brrr! Screwed around shoveling and got it like 20 feet but that whole meadow was a pond under a couple feet of snow. Went and got my truck, figured I would just winch it out with the truck, which worked until the alternator decided to quit on the truck. Ended up going out and calling the wife to bring my other truck, finally got the Bearcat winched out about 12:30.

Next time I'll just ride on the rocks, not like I don't replace skis every couple years from running on rocks and bare ground anyways.

Marten trapper not sure about where TeamV trapline is but the state does have a bunch of collard wolves out in 17 In part due to us being a predator control unit

Just got back from the line ended up with 4 cats 3 wolverines and a wolf oh and 3 marten in last 2 checks Not after marten this year but they like the wolverine sets no pic of wolf .

I shot a collared bear when I lived up there. Ak. Dept. of F&G sent me a detailed map of every contact they had with the bear, including where it denned. It spent the previous winter twenty miles away from where I took it.
